"Erin and Harvey were both very kind, helpful and patient during the whole workshop. This was my very 1st experience with robotics. I also never even thought of robotics as being an artistic endeavour. Society often separates arts and science, but they do truly belong together. Plus the participants were very nice as well."

"I would like to share how much I enjoyed participating in the Robot Butterfly workshop as a newcomer to Kingston, It was intergenerational, engaging & emotionally involving! At first, I felt intimidated, as someone with an arts background. I could not imagine how I would be able to build a robotic object in just two hours. After working since 8 AM and arriving at 6:30PM, I was convinced that I would be too tired to complete my robot. However, once I started, I became completely melted in the process. Time seemed to pass without me noticing. I felt a genuine connection with the project and I was really amazed how the instructer with open heart, without complexity, demonstrated the steps! The exprience was both stimulating and rewarding. It challenged me in ways I did not expect and it reminded me how exciting it can be to step outside my usual creative practice. By the end, I felt energized, inspired, and so happy!"

"Everything was well planned and everyone seemed to have a great time. We had all of the supplies and materials we needed, and everything was explained to us. The staff was attentive and very helpful. Some of us did not have access to a device with QR code reading abilities but we found a way to share a device. Overall, this was a successful event in my opinion, my first time experience of this kind(assembling electronics) and seeing my project light up, play a melody and move was magical!
